The Position: The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for spearheading all aspects of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding for both hourly and salary roles.

PAY RANGE: $58,000-$71,031 DISCRETIONARY TARGET BONUS OF 12% Responsibilities: Under general supervision, develop and execute recruitment plans to meet the staffing needs of the company. Manage the recruitment process from job posting to onboarding, ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process. Conduct interviews and assess candidates for entry-level, professional, and technical job openings to determine fit within the company. Collaborate with department managers to clearly understand their hiring needs and job specifications. Assist designing job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position's requirements. Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates. Coordinate and implement college and high school recruiting initiatives and job fairs to attract top talent. Walk the manufacturing floor regularly to engage with team members, understand the roles, and build relationships with hourly and management staff. Manage onboarding and new employee orientation to ensure successful integration. Stay current with industry trends and employment legislation to ensure company's hiring policies remain compliant. Work with various recruitment firms, job boards, or temp agencies. Facilitates the post interview discussion/selection process. Ensures the completion of all required onboarding, to include background checks, pre-hire medical testing, and new hire paperwork. Develops and executes candidate search tactics which may include cold calling, referrals, resume database searches on recruitment platforms, etc. Represents the company at recruiting events and external job fairs. Prepares and maintains various recruitment reports and documentation. Updates ATS daily to include status updates. Maintains good working relationship with Union officials, is knowledgeable of Union contract and rules. Lead new hire orientations. Performs other HR duties, as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field. Proven experience (2+ years) in recruitment and hiring, with a deep understanding of full recruitment cycle. Comfortable in a manufacturing setting; union experience preferred. Experience using HR software and ATS. Must be capable of using personal computers and Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. The Location: Liberty Steel & Wire is based in Peoria, IL.
