Dynamic organization with over 50 years of growing and developing talent seeks a Talent Acquisition and Development Specialist to implement effective recruiting and development strategies that attract and retain the best qualified talent for NewsBank. This position works closely with business leaders to develop talent solutions that balance the achievement of business goals with team members' development. The ideal candidate will serve as a key thought partner to the Sr. Vice President, Human Resources in strategic and operational decisions in this area and will collaborate with all members of the HR team. This role requires balancing hands-on work with program design in both recruitment and talent development areas.
Location: Naples, FL preferred; Remote or Hybrid possible
Talent Acquisition Drive NewsBank's efforts to acquire talent with experience and attitudes that align with the roles we seek to fill. Develop strategies for finding target candidates using traditional and non-traditional sourcing methods. Provide interview training and candidate care coaching to hiring managers. Screen potential candidates using effective behavioral interviewing techniques. Proactively engage with candidates and hiring managers to ensure the path to employment is smooth and efficient. Ensure that all steps of the recruitment process (interviews, assessments, reference and background checks and job offers) are complete in a timely and compliant manner. Seek feedback from hiring managers and new hires to evaluate effectiveness of talent acquisition efforts. Create a positive onboarding experience that sets new hires on a path of learning and growth in their careers at NewsBank. Schedule corporate onboarding sessions for new hires and hold weekly feedback sessions with new hires during their first month of employment; report results. Solicit feedback from new hires 3 months, 6 months and 9 months following employment and report results. Partner with Creative Services and Marketing to brand NewsBank as the employer of choice for qualified applicants. Maintain effective working relationships with team members, internal partners and others using professional interpersonal skills. Talent Development Assess training and development needs using surveys and interview sessions with business leaders. Partner with business leaders to develop talent solutions that balance the achievement of business goals with team members' development. Provide support for talent development efforts across all locations. Conduct regular analysis of the organization's current and future staffing needs. Identify training opportunities and deliver training using internal or external resources. Working with HR leadership, create and update talent development strategy and measure and report results. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications/Experience Successful record of recruiting candidates who can adapt and grow with the organization. Professional oral/written and presentation skills with customer service orientation. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent team collaboration skills. Adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of our dynamic business. Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); skilled user of applicant tracking systems, multimedia platforms and methods. Experience designing, developing and supporting talent management programs that meet the needs of the business and employees. Prior experience delivering training to managers and supervisors preferred. Educational background and work experience that demonstrates successful talent acquisition and development results. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources of Business Administration preferred. Experienced user of Applicant Tracking systems. NewsBank, inc. has been a premier information provider for 50 years.
