Systems Engineer

We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for aSystems Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Washington, DC surrounding area.
**Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.** Job Responsibilities:  Support SBS ADS-B BSFS Team with programmatic and acquisition requestsCoordinate with task leads to define scope, collect dataSupport the development of FAA project WBS and program scheduleSupport milestone and business plan goal development and reportingConduct schedule reviews and develop and update required reports to managementSupport the development of JRC documents and briefingsEstablish performance measures for post-implementation assessmentsConduct benefit-risk assessment and develop risk-adjusted benefits baselineBasic Hiring Criteria:   At least5 years of related experience with a bachelor's in anengineering disciplineis required.A Master's degree in any field (e.g MS, MA, MBA) counts for three years of additional experience, and a PhD counts for three years additional experienceMust be proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Project, Power Point, and WordExtensive understanding of the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS)Familiarity with procurement processesPrior acquisition and contract management experience with the FAAProven communication, analytical andproblem-solving skills;as well as,the ability to identify and resolve issuesApply analytical techniques in gathering data to solve complex technical problems (e.g., requirements definition, operations research, modeling)
