Job Description:Summary:Barr is seeking a systems analyst to act as an internal consultant, working with stakeholders across the company to support our GIS and data management systems as applicable . The responsibilities of this position may extend to the support of additional systems as needed.In this role, you will be asked to take on various technical projects supporting Barr's project technologies (e.g., GIS and data management systems), work with users to define system needs, and lead improvement implementation projects.Responsibilities include:Support system development, conversions, upgrades, and enhancement effortsAssist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of the ArcGIS server environment, including the optimization of GIS resourcesManage ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Online, and Enterprise SecurityAssist with the development of GIS system architecture design and maintenance strategyAssist with database development and supportComplete system/data integrations and task automationCreate and enforce policies for effective systems managementFacilitate and oversee support from vendorsPropose solutions and strategies to platform challengesAutomate complex GIS procedures to increase efficiencies and the overall platform effectivenessDevelop long-range planning requirements for a sustainable GIS environmentDevelop data integrations and analytics with multiple platformsEnsure effective data security and backup proceduresSupport IT in system modification as required, both technically and as a business owner, to achieve improved data flow designsCommunicate technical information and ideas for a wide range of audiencesMinimum Qualifications :Bachelor's degree in a related field3 years of related experienceE xperience working with ESRI tools and applications or equivalentProficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL) and SQL Server Integration ServicesAbility to understand, map, and document systems and processesExperience with proactively recommending enhancements to information and process managementS ystem testing and upgrade experienceStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracyStrong client service skills including the ability to understand, educate, and build relationships with internal clients and vendorsStrong organizational skills including the ability to plan, monitor , and follow through on work commitmentsExcellent written and oral communication skillsLegal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship from Barr, now or in the futurePreferred Qualifications :E xperience administering ArcGIS Online/EnterpriseE xperience working with FME/or PythonESRI ArcGIS Enterprise Portal/Online, System Monitor, and ArcMap experienceA hybrid work arrangement may be considered for this position. A hybrid work arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a Barr office and a home office.
