What Does a Systems Administrator Do? As a Systems Administrator at Yampa Valley Electric Association, you will play a critical role in upholding our network infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of server systems, networking hardware, database systems (iVUE), and software. Your responsibilities will revolve around managing software and hardware implementations with a keen eye on Best Practice Controls (BPCs) to maintain optimal performance. This position thrives on proactive learning, sharing knowledge with colleagues to improve work processes, and offering troubleshooting support to streamline job functions.
Are you a Good Fit for This Systems Administrator Job? To excel as a Systems Administrator at Yampa Valley Electric Association, candidates must possess at least three years of hands-on experience in IT Systems Administration. Proficiency in computer hardware, software, wireless and wired networking, active directory, Windows OS, Server Administration, and cell phone setup is essential for this position. An added advantage would be a background of at least two years in customer support or a related field.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to adapt to change seamlessly, exhibit effective communication skills, foster strong interpersonal relationships, showcase troubleshooting expertise, and show initiative as a self-starter.
