This person will be part of a team that sits in Pleasant Grove, Utah, that is responsible for the end-to-end planning, building, and deploying of our infrastructure and cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background, a solid understanding of applicable web application systems, and a natural curiosity for producing effective solutions. This person is patient, has excellent time-management skills, with flexible work hours and an effective communication style. Outcomes You'll Own Develops and maintains documentation on infrastructure, software, systems, and disaster recovery methodology Assists in ensuring that network/server/datacenter infrastructure is up and running, troubleshoots and resolves infrastructure issues Specifies and implements hardware and software Trains other employees and junior members on using networking and server hardware and software as needed Creates and distributes reports as needed As assigned, administers and supports company telecommunications hardware and software and related services Attends education and training sessions as approved and/or required as budget permits  Informs senior management regarding problems and resolutions associated with infrastructure and servers Mentors more junior systems administrators by leading and influencing technical decisions, development processes, and best practices Informs and educates senior management regarding problems and resolutions associated with infrastructure and servers Resource for management to help understand the resolution of issues and problems with infrastructure and servers Directs special projects and performs other duties as required Implements system monitors for aspects of the environment to ensure uptime Responds to monitors to resolve issues and problems with infrastructure and servers Troubleshoots and resolves Helpdesk desktop/laptop issues and requests Develops and maintains documentation on Helpdesk processes, software, systems, and related processes Trains other employees and junior members on using desktop/laptops and hardware and software as needed Stay current with new technology options and vendor products, evaluating which ones would be a good fit for the company Troubleshoot the system and solve problems across all platform and application domains What you need to get the job done Bachelor's degree in IS/IT/Computer Science or a related field and 2+ years of experience; or 4+ years of experience  Experience designing and building web application environments in on-premises data center and/or cloud environments Experience building and maintaining cloud-native applications A solid background in Linux/Unix and Windows server system administration Experience using monitoring solutions like SolarWinds, CloudWatch, New Relic, and Prometheus An understanding of and experience administering hypervisor environment, like VMware or similar Experience with major cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure Experience in troubleshooting distributed systems Proficiency in script development and scripting languages The ability to be a team player The ability and skill to train other people in procedural and technical topics Strong communication and collaboration skills What You'll Love About Us Flexible Time Off + 10 paid holidays Competitive Medical, Dental & vision offerings, including free medical premiums for employees, with buy up plan options, AND we match your HSA contributions.
