LOCATION AND WORK: This position is located at our Independence, Ohio location. The ability to work in our office, with a hybrid schedule is required. Some onsite weekend and after-hours work may be required for events such as emergency maintenance, office relocations, and BCP testing.

ABOUT THE POSITION AND OUR TEAM: The Systems Administrator position is responsible for the day-to-day Desktop Support and is the main technology infrastructure resource for our Ohio office. This position will provide Tier 1 & 2 Desktop support for desktop hardware and software and other computer-related technology issues and inquiries. The position will be the local arm of our US-based IT team and report to our IT Operations Manager.
Daily activities will be driven primarily by requests submitted by internal employees so this individual must be able to triage concurrent incoming requests to ensure the tickets are addressed according to business priority and/or are routed to the appropriate teams for resolution.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Evaluate, prioritize, and answer incoming service requests, IMs, email, and in-person requests for assistance. Provide efficient, high-quality technical support services to ensure timely response to queries, resolution of problems, and reporting/escalation of issues related to the systems. Maintain a positive working relationship with all departments, actively seeking out ways to improve their productivity. Timelines must be met and unresolvable issues must be escalated and followed up on till completion Create effective documentation on processes and issue resolution QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED: At least 3 years work experience in a technical capacity supporting desktop systems, ideally in a multinational environment. At least 3 years work experience in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS or private / datacenter) Possess an excellent understanding of Windows Operating Systems Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications Experience with LAN, WAN Experience with attention to detail security hardening / patching monthly and as high risks occur (related to remediating interna; / external scans) Scripting experience (DOS, PowerShell, Python, JQuery ETC) Strong knowledge of disaster recovery planning and following Excellent troubleshooting skills Be a self-starter with the ability to find, research, and propose solutions to complex issues limited guidance or direction Working knowledge of network protocols and topology Solid PC hardware troubleshooting and repair experience Knowledge of Desktop Application Security best practices Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to verbally and in writing, explain complex technologies with accuracy and confidence Ability to collaborate across teams within the organization Job responsibilities and any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and support our organization's values.
