As a System Integration Engineer, you will have the opportunity to lead the integration of complex electrical systems into autonomous driving robots. If you consider yourself an expert on a handful of vehicle systems, enabling you to deep dive into functional integration topics that bring hardware to life, we would like to hear from you!In this role, you will:Develop system design and integration compatibility according to the product requirements and imperatives such as cost, mass, time latency, functional safety, and cybersecurity among others.Support new features or implement improvements required based on vehicle development and validation activities.Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, firmware development, and firmware validation teams to determine the integration actions, guarantee proper system-level definition, and engage the design and development teams to ensure the relevant subsystems are designed to fulfill system requirements, interfaces, and interactions to achieve specific vehicle functions.Create novel networking interfaces for next-generation connected vehicle applications.Create System FMEAs, develop diagnostics, and fault reactions to ensure safe vehicle operation.Lead the triage of issues, including log reviews, code reviews, and HW investigation.QualificationsBS or higher in electrical/electronics/systems/mechanical engineering or related field.7+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering, with 3+ years of experience in developing automotive system design, using models-based system principles, for the following domains: Body Control (closures, safety, comfort, lighting, passive entry).Experience in electrical systems and subsystems requirements creation, and proficiency of requirements management software ( IBM DOOrs, Siemens Polarion, or similar).Experience diagnosing CAN, LIN, or Ethernet network issues.Experience in MATLAB, Python, C++ or equivalent tools for modeling and analysisBonus QualificationsExperience with Vector Tools ( CANalyzer/CANOE/ Prevention).Experience with Functional Safety for Road Vehicles (ISO 26262).Experience in failure analysis, fault trees or hazard and risk analysis.Experience in Diagnostics specification (ISO 14229 series).CompensationThere are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $142,000 to $204,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.
