Job Description About the team : As part of the Power Business Division, you will manage the system engineering team that develops of our next-generation Battery management IC's and system-level solutions.
Your Role : As System Director for Renesas's Battery Management product, you will collaborate with the Chip Designers, Firmware engineers, and Marketing team to come up with a system-level solution. You will be responsible for leading and growing a global Firmware/Verification organization and driving system-level integration. You will set a system-level simulation environment that will integrate analog front end and MCU chipsets. The role will drive the strategy for BMS system integration of USB TCPC, TCPM, Battery chargers, and Fuel Gauge IC.
Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the Product Line Director to prioritize near-term product execution imperatives and long-term strategic initiatives Synthesize technical goals from business strategy Identify and adopt tools and methodologies for ongoing improvements in development time and product quality Work with cross-functional groups to integrate new capabilities into the design process Align product development plans to leverage capabilities Manage the verification and firmware team to deliver performance and time-to-market goals Grow the organization with top talent in support of product roadmap Collaborate within the larger design community on sharing of IP, resources, methodologies, and knowhow Cultivate a culture of excellence with a commitment to exceed customer expectations Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or related fields with 15+ years of related professional experience OR a Master's degree in Engineering with 10-12 years of experience. Demonstrate track record of managing the development of design and verification environment for system-level solutions Demonstrate track record of building, retaining, and managing a global team.
