Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life forall.Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.As a near memory System Architect, Distinguished Member of Technical Staff/Fellow in the Compute and Networking Business Unit (CNBU), you will be responsible for leading the design and development of ground breaking near memory solutions for AI/ML applications.You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as customers, partners, vendors, and research institutes, to identify and address the technical challenges and opportunities in this emerging field You will work across multiple domains, including design, product engineering, foundry, datacenter and cloud applications, research and understand system architecture and leverage that knowledge to identify new or optimized system and memory solutions!Job Responsibilities:Conduct system architecture exploration, analysis, and evaluation of architectures with partner groups using modeling, simulation, and prototyping toolsDefine and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for near memory solutions for AI/ML in cloud and inference applications in close collaboration with customers and external partners.Design and implement innovative near memory solutions that integrate SoC and memory technologies, such as 3D stacking, chiplet, and interposerOptimize the performance, power, area, cost, and reliability of near memory solutions, considering the trade-offs and constraints of different design choices and application scenariosStay abreast of the latest trends, developments, and standard processes in near memory solutions, SoC and memory technologies, and AI/ML applicationsProvide mentorship and support to design, product engineering, foundry, datacenter and cloud application teams, ensuring the alignment and compatibility of near memory solutions with the system requirements and specificationsMentor and coach junior system architects and engineersSuccessful candidate will have:Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field10+ years of experience in system architecture, design, and development of SoC and memory solutions for AI/ML applicationsGood understanding of the economics of hardware side of design and developmentExperience with custom SoC/ASIC design and deep understanding of memory hierarchy, controller and physExperience with near memory solutions, such as 3D stacking, chiplet, and interposer, and their impact on system performance, power, area, cost, and reliabilityExperience in using modeling, simulation, and prototyping tools, such as MATLAB, Simulink, SystemC, Verilog, VHDL, Cadence, Synopsys, and XilinxFamiliarity with AI/ML applications, such as computer vision, natural language processing, speech recognition, and recommendation systemsExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentPassion for innovation and continuous learning.We believe passion is the most important ingredient, if you agree, talk to us!As a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
