As a Sustainability Engineer, you will contribute significantly to technology and product development projects by identifying and implementing innovative solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for improving NEMA Division R&D(Research and Development) sustainability performance and leads innovations to develop sustainable products, to minimize the impact on the environment, meet regulations and customer expectations in adherence with ABB procedures and processes.
Your responsibilities Contribute to effective risk management of sustainability related issues of industrial electric motors by providing expert advice Support compliance manager in reporting sustainability progress with respect to implementation of R&D sustainability objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Support and drive behavioral change to continuously improve sustainability performance through coordinated core programs and initiatives Facilitate sharing of best practices and applies standard R&D processes globally to deliver consistent sustainability support Collaborate with other functions and business partners to drive sustainability performance Track, assess and report emerging trends and perspectives, sustainability regulations, standards and provides consultation to R&D management Contribute to and/or plans and executes motor specific materials sustainability related projects Your background Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with minimum 6 years of experience in R&D. Preferred Experience Includes: Exposure to product design and development of electric motors. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and customer support experience required Knowledge of consulting, planning and organizing specialist sustainability.
