Requisition ID : 499463 Job Description It's an exciting time to become a key member of the IFF team at our Hazlet, NJ location. IFF is looking for a Sustainability & Environmental Planner in the Hazlet, NJ location. This position will support the manufacturing site's regulatory compliance while maintaining the facility's internal and external customers, reports, data, inspections, and permits for all local, state, and federal agencies. All obligations under legal and other requirements or commitments to which the facility subscribes (e.g. Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority, NJDEP, EPA). As the S&E planner, your responsibilities include evaluating, observing, and controlling the legal flow of various types of data and regulatory compliance.
You will be able to fulfill various duties and responsibilities. Be able to maintain clear and complete documentation for reference purposes during unscheduled and scheduled audits and regulatory visits. You should be able to work closely with supervisors, managers, internal and external customers, and other facility departments to create and document comprehensive data and support.
You will possess a passion for sustainability by implementing the company's sustainability initiatives. The successful candidate will coordinate our volunteer green team and work to enhance Hazlet sustainability ideas, initiatives, and goals.
You will spend your time… Systematically monitoring the management of environmental permits and compliance activities within the local, state, and federal agencies to ensure that all anticipated environmental-related activities are in compliance Developing systematic methods of management for environmental records, information, and reports required for regulatory compliance or per company policy are maintained and completed as needed and on a timely basis and that all records and information are properly safeguarded Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of the company's Environmental Management System (EMS) ISO 14001 for the effective deployment of environmental programs. Working with various internal and external members and departments to assist in developing timelines, schedules, and overseeing progress to make sure environmental and regulatory goals are met on time Supporting projects and pursuing sustainability and environmental objectives Promoting alignment with various teams throughout the fragrance business to ensure the sustainability and environmental key data are continuously met and reported
Job Requirements Required Technical and Professional Expertise Bachelor's degree preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate to a broad range of audiences in small and large group meetings Knowledge of environmental and sustainability reporting standards and frameworks Professional work experience supporting projects Skilled in technology applications such as Excel, SAP, and Adobe Acrobat Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Standards While we are interested in all qualified candidates with the potential to work in the United States, we are not able to sponsor visas.
