The Company has five precious metals mines in the Americas generating strong production, sales, and cash flow.Coeur Rochester, a subsidiary of Coeur Mining Inc. based near Lovelock, Nevada, is seeking a Surveyor to join our team at the Rochester Mine.Responsibilities:Taking field measurements using GPS survey equipment and bringing information back to the office computerStaking engineering designs from the office computer to the field using GPS survey equipmentReport to the Mine EngineersCommunicate changes to and status of survey work to Mine Engineers and Supervisors of the Mine and Process DepartmentsLayout Drill Pattern using GPS Survey EquipmentLayout Ore Control using GPS Survey EquipmentRetrieve blast hole samples from Drill patternsDevelop Mine and Leach Pad Progress Maps used by the Engineering and Operations DepartmentsSurvey Highwall Prisms using a Total Station Ability to recognize safety hazards, develop solutions, then follow up to make sure hazards are addressedFollow Company and Governmental Safety and Environmental regulationsMaintain a clean work environmentOther duties as assignedRequirements:High school diploma or GED2+ Years Experience in Mining, preferably at an Open Pit OperationMust be able to work carefully, with great attention to detailMust be able to prioritize work based on the Mine's needsMust be able to balance an aggressive workloadMust be able to communicate well with others, even others outside of departmentMust be able to traverse very rough ground Must be able to work efficiently in variable weather condidtionsMust be able to work alone, and with minimal supervisionMust be able to walk for entire 10 hour shifts Must be willing to work variable shifts; including weekendsMust have an excellent safety and attendance recordMust be able to read a mapComputer knowledge and experience preferred Draft work/CAD Experience preferredRecommended:Construction surveying experienceConstruction grading experiencePrevious Mine Survey experienceExperience Using AutoCAD Familiarity with topographic maps
