Some extended and holiday hours. Job Summary: The Supply Store Assistant Sales Manager assists with oversight of day-to-day operations of one of the Supply Store's permanent branch locations. Assists in the set-up and operation of temporary locations which are operated seasonally. Additional Department Summary: This position assists with all facets of the Supply Store branch locations. This position serves as part of the Supply Store management team with capability to act autonomously in making decisions. This position opens and closes the Store as needed and rotates with other management team members to manage the entire store on the weekends. This position performs specific operational functions in the computerized inventory management and point of sale system as needed. The Store is open 7 days a week and this position is expected to be available on any of those days. Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and four (4) years of retail sales experience; OR associate's degree and two (2) years or retail sales experience; OR bachelor's degree and some retail sales experience. Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: This position is required to work all home football games. Must be able to work on rotation to open, manage, and close the Branch locations on weekends Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions. Skills and Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal, customer service, planning, organizational, and decision making skills. Working knowledge of personal computers. Preferred Qualifications: Some supervisory experience. Requires a high level of independent thinking. Extensive customer service experience and skills in a retail environment that parallels the functions of this position. Computer inventory management experience.
