ResponsibilitiesThis role intends to comprehensively support both Lab Operations and scientists, with an emphasis on inventory and asset management, to drive the successful, cutting-edge biotech company. You will have ownership and influence in the following:Monitor and order lab consumables and gas supplyAssisting the Lab Manager in overseeing and managing laboratory inventory, both consumables and assetsInspect and approve invoices for payment via Bill.comManage company card and receipts via BrexEnsure critical lab supplies are always available for pipeline operationsReceive, track, and store deliveries while effectively communicating arrivalsBe familiar with EH&S standards and SDS to properly store all chemicals, medias, and compressed gassesOptimize inventory systems and spaces for organization and maximum user efficiencyEstablish and maintain inventory consumption tracking system with oversight from the Lab ManagerAnnually update onsite chemical inventory in centralized database for regulatory reporting purposesMaintain updated digital and physical copies of all SDSManaging and implementing equipment service schedules and renewalsManage equipment maintenance, PMs/calibrations, repairs, including filters, user calibration, etc.Manage equipment inventory, including onboarding/offboarding and tracking location changesAssist with lab member onboarding/offboardingEnsure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environmentRequired Skills and BackgroundFamiliarity with laboratory workflows and EH&SHigh organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface at all levels of professionalismAbility to handle multiple requests, work in a fast-paced environment, and be responsive to employee requests/service issuesProactive approach to identifying problems and problem-solving independently and collaborativelyCapable of working hands-on and lift up to 30 pounds on a daily basis2+ years experience in a supply chain rolePreferred QualificationsExperience with Quartzy, Benchling, and/or other laboratory softwareProven experience in Purchasing/Receiving or relevant positionExperience in working around electrical and nonelectrical laboratory equipment and potentially dangerous substances (flammable liquids, infectious bacteria, biohazards etc.)Excellent physical condition and enduranceWorking knowledge of Google Workspace and database systemsAbility to work autonomously and under pressureBachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or relevant field is a plusThe annual base pay range for this position is anticipated to be $67,000-$72,000, however the base pay offered may vary depending on location, market, job related knowledge, skills and experience.
