Supply Chain Assistant

Full job description We are currently looking for two contracted employees for approximately 3 months to help a client of ours with a project in the Supply Chain department. If you have experience with data entry, building purchase orders and updating cost sheets , and would like to grow your skills and experience - please reach out to us ASAP!!

Duties will include:

Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions of the Job:

Process job packets for outside suppliers. Create and send Request for Quotes (RFQ) to suppliers designated by buyers. Create purchase orders for items going to suppliers and designated by buyers. Updates MRP system with information received from supplier acknowledgments. Contact suppliers to manage past due orders and update delivery dates in MRP system. Process additions and deletions to schematics and blueprints. Works with shipping to create truck schedules for deliveries to outside vendors. Creates shop orders. Issues materials in shop floor.

Job Requirements:

Requires education generally equivalent to a High School. Prefers 3-12 months of relevant experience. Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Prefers a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Excel and Word. Prefers a strong knowledge of Workwise ERP System. Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees. Must be able to collaborate with others (including in person) to proactively develop solutions.
