Det-Tronics is a part of the Global Fire Products business of Carrier and has a global footprint with manufacturing sites in the U.S. and sales presence in all key geographies.Det-Tronics is looking for an experienced, process driven, results oriented, high performing Supplier Quality Engineer to champion Supplier Quality in our organization.Key Responsibilities:Work with the Supply Chain team to develop robust supply base.
Lead regularly scheduled Supplier Quality meetings, supplier issue resolution, and drive continuous improvementPartner with Supply Chain for Supplier sourcing, qualification, selection, and developmentWork closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations on all stages of New Product Development, ensuring quality is designed into the parts and the processesOversee new part validation process, including FAI, setting up incoming inspection requirements, and verification of Cpk dataDevelop Supplier Scorecard, track KPIs, and work with suppliers on action plans to improve performanceLead technical reviews of new components and existing components with Supplier and EngineeringAudit and assess Suppliers' Processes on regular basis, which includes some (~10-15%) travel
Act as quality leader in organization
Participate as a member of the Material Review BoardSupport outside certification audits (e.g., ISO 9001:2015)Advocate for process focused approach for all functionsEnable culture change from a reactive approach to Quality to a proactive approach to QualityHelp drive reduction in Det-Tronics Cost of Poor Quality

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree3+ years of experience in Manufacturing Industries as a Supplier Quality Engineer
Preferred Qualifications:Supplier Evaluation/ Assessment, Qualification and Quality ManagementStatistical Analysis (Capability Analysis)Strong knowledge of GD&TNon-Conforming Materials Control & Disposition (MRB)Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR)Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA)Design for Manufacturability (DFM) ReviewWorking with Purchasing/ Sourcing Team to establish and maintain a Supplier Quality ScorecardSupplier DPPM and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) CalculationMSA (Measurement System Analysis)PPAPAPQPControl PlanFMEAKnowledge/ Familiarity with AIAG StandardProcess Audit KnowledgeProficiency in Minitab, MS Excel & Power BICertified Lean six sigma Green Belt or Black BeltProject Management SkillExperience with MRP System (JDE or SAP)Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and an open attitude for continuous improvementAbility to perform under stress and meet project timelines, to work cooperatively and respectfully with others, to lead others using project planning skills and documentationMust be able to perform essential job functions safely and work within established company guidelines
