8am – 5pm, Monday-Friday
Purpose Statement/Position Summary:

The Research Supervisor will work under the general supervision of the Radiology Research Manager. The Research Supervisor will perform data analysis and provide reports pertaining to the budgetary and fiscal management of research programs. The successful candidate will work closely with Radiology Research Manager to coordinate academic activities pertaining to business development, community relations, grants management, and all aspects of implementing one or more research programs. The Research Supervisor will also supervise and manage research Core staff, while also serving as a liaison to internal departments and external organizations. Importantly, the successful candidate will participate in not only team building activities but also formal and informal training opportunities designed to promote cross-areas skills development and personal career growth in preparation for further leadership roles.
Interested candidates should ideally have/demonstrated followings:

1. Experience in pre- and post- NIH and other grant award administrative functions, including management of internal documents, monitoring grant accounts, tracking all expenses, providing grant and financial reconciliations, and generating research-related financial reporting.
2. Strong analytical skills to analyze information, practices and procedures, formulate logical and objective conclusions, and make recommendations for effective solutions.
3. Demonstrated ability to organize, initiate and work independently to address responsibilities; must have strong time management skills and ability to independently prioritize tasks and re-prioritize work based on knowledge of research and administrative objectives.
4. Ability to learn new technologies and software applications quickly.

Essential job duties and responsibilities:
• Coordinates the operational and fiscal management of research programs. Collaborates closely with Research Manager to ensure appropriate budgetary organization for all assigned research projects, including creation and maintenance of financial and operational reports.
• Leads or assists with pre- and post- NIH grants award administrative functions.
• Serves as a liaison between department and the offices of research administration, human resources, research compliance, and other research related departments.
• Maintains constant and smooth communications across faculty investigators, research staff, extramural collaborators, meeting coordinators, etc.
• Develops and implements procedures for ensuring compliance with all institutional administrative regulations, procedures, and policies.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:

3+ years of direct experience with Pre- (e.g., prepare for submittal of federal and non-federal grants) and Post-Award (e.g., development of financial projections, development, and submission of progress reports, etc) manage works. Understanding of research processes, including grants, IACUCs/IRBs, and documentation. Experience in computer data management.

Two online skills assessments will be administered before the interview in order to assess the required skill sets for the position.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

MA or MS in health/science/psychology preferred or equivalent combination of related education and experience.

Pay Scale Information

$55,120.00-$99,341.00

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
