Production Supervisors are part of a joiny leadership team committed to the development and support of each team member. Additionally, the supervisor will interact with identified union leaders to resolve work group matters.Salary range: $88,578.62 to $107,429.40What you'll doOverees and lead the Ground Support Equipment maintenance workload, resources, and activities for GSE workgroups at all GSE shop locations in the stationAdministers and coordinates the activities of their assigned work group(s) in support of policies, goals, and objectives established by the GSE station, Manager, Senior Manager, Director, or Managing DirectorAssures continuing safety, compliance, dependability, and reliabilityAssures harmonious working relationships with union workforce and understanding/application of union contractual languagePrioritizes and administers inspections and maintenance programs, recommending any revisions needed to provide mechanical performance and reliability of ground equipmentUnderstands and applies all standards, policies, and procedures for Company ground equipmentEnsures technical documentation are complied with on Company ground equipmentPerforms any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned in order to achieve department and Company objectivesAssists with Materials/PartsAssists in GSE parts lookup, sourcing options, parts quality review, inspection, and component warranty coordinationReorders and stocks of bulk hardware, tire and wheel, oil and lubricants local stock in support of fleet service/maintenanceHandles daily reviews of assets out of service awaiting partsCoordinates options with Materials to minimize lead times/asset down timePerforms reviews and approvals of vendor invoices and makes recommendations and challenges as requiredAll you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED equivalency1-2 years' experience supervising and/or directing work groupsMechancial experiencePreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience1-2 years' experience supervising and/or directing work groups, preferably in a union environmentASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications a plusGround Support Equipment (GSE) mechanical experience preferredSkills, Licenses & CertificationsMust be able to train, guide, and motivate employeesAbove average interpersonal skillsAbility to handle multiple projects concurrentlyWorking knowledge of PC's; proficiency in software applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Fleet FocusMust fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privleges to airport security idenitification display areas (SIDA), if applicableMust be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicableWhat you'll getFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer:Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
