We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our team and oversee the planning and installation of modular walls for various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead teams effectively to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive plans for modular wall installations, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Site Management: Oversee on-site activities to ensure compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and project specifications. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain a smooth workflow and resolve any issues promptly.
Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure modular walls are installed correctly and meet design and performance standards. Conduct inspections and address any deficiencies to uphold quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project expenditures, track costs, and implement cost-saving measures where possible. Review subcontractor invoices, change orders, and materials procurement to ensure accuracy and adherence to budgetary constraints.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor on-site personnel, including foremen, laborers, and subcontractors. Foster a positive and productive work environment, promote safety awareness, and encourage teamwork to achieve project goals effectively.
Communication: Maintain open and clear communication channels with all stakeholders, including project teams, clients, and management. Provide regular progress updates, address concerns, and facilitate meetings as needed to ensure project milestones are met.
Problem Solving: Identify potential challenges or risks early in the project lifecycle and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them. Respond promptly to unexpected issues, implement corrective actions, and keep project timelines on track.
Design Validation: Work closely with the design team to review and validate modular wall designs for feasibility, constructability, and compliance with building codes and standards. Provide input and recommendations to optimize designs for efficient installation and long-term durability.  Confirm design matches onsite conditions.
Installation: Work alongside installation teams at times to provide hands-on support and ensure proper execution of modular wall installations. Demonstrate technical expertise, troubleshoot issues, and guide team members to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
Strategic Objectives: Drive strategic initiatives to optimize project workflows, resource allocation, and scheduling for efficient project delivery. Champion safety protocols, quality standards, and best practices across all project phases. Conduct thorough inspections, address quality deficiencies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives for enhanced project outcomes. Provide technical input and recommendations to optimize designs for efficient installation, durability, and long-term performance. Requirements: 4+ of related experience required  Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred) Proven experience as a Superintendent or similar role in commercial construction projects, with a focus on operating room construction Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work effectively under pressure OSHA certification and other relevant industry certifications are a plus Must be able to resolve complex issues of a broad scope using independent judgment Must be able to routinely make decisions which affect immediate operations and may have a division-wide effect Must be able to communicate with others in large groups and virtually Must be able to drive an automobile Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects About Stryker Our benefits:
