Visit the Bagdad town websi te to learn more.DescriptionUnder limited supervision, plan, organize, manage and evaluate assigned operations, including but not limited to, daily production, product quality, environmental management, safety, or maintenance. Supervise through Senior Supervisors.Establish tactical and strategic goals, objectives, policies and procedures in assigned area within the businessDirect Supervisors and other staff in daily operations; inspect daily operations and projects in progress and upon completion to ensure quality of workProvide administrative and technical direction to staff; interpret policies and procedures established by regulatory agenciesOversee and recommend the selection of key staff; participate in the selection of staffWork with employees to correct deficiencies; implement disciplinary procedures and recommend terminations; investigate complaints and recommend corrective action as necessaryForecast necessary funds for staffing, materials and supplies, and capital improvement projectsSubmit budget recommendations and justifications; monitor and control expendituresDevelop, plan, and coordinate the work plan for assigned projects and responsibilities, which may include project management, cost estimates and program development; coordinate work with other units and site departmentsProvide information and resources to site officials and other departments; answer questions and provide information to the publicReview Capital Improvement Plans and make recommendationsEvaluate infrastructure, facilities and operating systems for needed maintenance and repairCoordinate the activities of consultants and contractorsPerform other duties as requiredQualificationsMinimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or GEDandseven (7) years of related operational experience,includingsupervisory or management experience,ORBachelor's degreeandthree (3) years of related operational experience,includingsupervisory or management experienceAdditional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required, depending upon the department/site.Skilled in supervising, evaluating, training and motivating employeesAbility to plan, prioritize, direct and manage a diverse number of operational areas, projects and activitiesSkilled in preparing, defending, monitoring and administering budgetsAbility to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautionsSkilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazardsAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingPreferred1 year of autonomous maintenance experienceKnowledge of autonomous systems technologyCaterpillar/ Mining equipment experienceCriteria/ConditionsAbility to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in EnglishAbility to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standardsMust be able to work in a potentially stressful environmentWork is in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see.Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects up to thirty (30) pounds during the course of the workday.Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, or manufacturing plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per applicable State Laws.What We Offer YouThe estimated annual pay range for this role is currently$94,000-$132,000.This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
