Posting will remain open until filledReporting to the Manager, Integrated Operations & Improvement, the Superintendent, Integrated Planning is responsible for creating integrated plans for the Red Dog site and driving key decision making around mine planning. This newly established, integral role involves close collaboration with diverse teams, emphasizing the coordination of plans, supervision of technical experts, and leadership in guiding the team's direction.This is an excellent role for a career oriented engineer with integrated planning or management systems experience and a strong leadership background looking to broaden their experience while working at one of the world's largest producers of zinc concentrate. In addition to working with a dedicated team of subject matter experts, you will gain exposure to diverse groups across the site and have the ability to influence in multiple areas.To be successful, we are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills and leadership experience. We need someone who can collaborate and excel in a team environment, and who can build meaningful relationships at all levels of the business.The schedule for this role is an uneven rotation of two weeks on-site, one week off-site with travel provided from Anchorage, Alaska.Responsibilities:Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and proceduresLead the development of an executable and optimized budget, 5-year plan, 1-year plan, monthly forecast, and weekly plan, embedding projects and longer term Environmental, Community and Sustainability commitments into planning and executionOversee the execution of QA/QC processes on cross-departmental planning input parameters and establish constructive feedback channels to ensure accurate and realistic inputsManage trade-off analysis to ensure decision quality across short and mid-range planning time horizonsLead execution of continuous improvement initiatives for the Integrated Planning team and processesBe responsible for team development including assessment of team performance, professional development discussions, identification of learning and growth opportunities, and succession planningEnsure collaboration occurs to allow the team to produce one integrated plan that encompasses the value chainManage mid- and short-range plan changes through the variance management process and ensure controllable causes for variances are mitigated or eliminated in future plansSupport Integrated Production team in providing recommendations to execution teams on operational decisions driven by trade-offs, including for the variance response to plan processSupport the development of operating modes and targeted action response plans (TARP)Support Integrated Production team with initiating and implementing an Operating Mode ShiftEnsure accurate reconciliation and reporting of production, haulage, and shipping performanceQualifications:Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree (Mining, Metallurgical, Industrial, Geological) is requiredMinimum ten (10) years working in a mining environment with strong knowledge of mine/mill planning, scheduling, and the overall mine/mill operational environmentMust have prior experience coordinating and supervising technical teams.Strong communicator, able to communicate with key stakeholders clearly and conciselyHighly motivated team player with ability to develop strong relationships across multiple operational disciplinesExhibit courageous leadership in providing guidance in a variety of situations and environmentsEfficiently work under high pressure situations and embed effective time management in execution of responsibilitiesAdvanced software skills in MS Office, especially spreadsheetKnowledge of PowerBI and/or other data analytics platformsFamiliarity with Planning Software (MineSight, Vulcan or other)#LI-NF1About TeckSuccessful candidates must be willing to satisfy the pre-employment requirements of a physical assessment, drug screen and a background check.
