As we are nearing the end of yet another school year, it's time to start thinking about how you will spend your summer! Do you w ant to build your resume, develop skills, and familiarize yourself with SSVEC's mission of providing safe and reliable power? We are looking for Engineering College students just like you to work alongside SSVEC engineers . As an Engineering Summer Intern at SSVEC, you will gain hands-on experience, assisting our engineering team with their day-to-day responsibilities, and explore potential career paths.
Our interns assist engineers in various aspects of system design, system protection, and system analysis for power quality. They will work with various electronic control systems and protection system equipment and have the chance to exercise their computer-aided drafting skills. The intern will learn to observe and report any defective, unsafe, or abnormal conditions of the cooperative's lines and equipment and will have the opportunity to observe the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground power transmission and distribution lines.
Requirements are current enrollment in a college engineering program or related technical field (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil preferred). All offers of employment are contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen, criminal and driving background, and employment reference checks.
