Description Looking to grow the substation group by adding a new team member to lead a team of entry level to mid level engineers. Minimum of seven years. Initially will get acclimated with internal processes and help deliver on existing work. After a few months in the role they would like to start involving this person in business development meetings with new customers in order to be a lead on new business. Eventually manage project from initial kick off to completion. Must be able to demonstrate ability to do work as an individual and eventually manage work with client while managing a small team. Function as a technical lead substation design engineer. Substation design encompasses distribution, sub-transmission and transmission level voltage classes
Develop electrical design deliverables, including protection and control design (protective relays) and/or physical design
Actively participate in management, project scheduling, and work/resource planning meetings
Interface directly with clients, vendors and subcontractors
QA/QC projects and mentor junior engineers
Skills Substation, Electrical, Bachelors, Schematics, Substation design, One Line, Two Line, Three line, Substation equipment, High voltage, Substation engineering, QA/QC, SCADA, Proposal, Bluebeam, panels, relay, Wiring, sectional views, Ground, Clearance, planning
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
PE highly preferred
FE or EIT would also be preferred
Someone who wants to eventually get a PE license
