We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Subsidy Team as a Subsidy Specialist. The Subsidy Specialist is our first point of contact for families interested in tuition assistance. The Subsidy Specialist is responsible for managing the child care approval, billing, and payment processes with various Subsidy programs in multiple states.
PAY:$19-$20 per hour
HOURS:Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm
JOB STATUS:Part-time, non-exempt
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the management of the child care subsidy program for each Healthy Kids site; this includes:
+ Registering new sites to accept subsidies
+ Renewing existing registrations
+ Completing any requests from governing state subsidy agencies
+ Maintaining registrations
+ Billing state agencies
+ Collecting and reconciling payments from agencies and/or parents
+ Handle billing tasks with state agencies and ensure timely collection and reconciliation of payments from agencies and/or parents.
+ Cultivate strong relationships with families through clear and responsive communication.
+ Collaborate effectively with caseworkers to facilitate smooth processes.
+ Stay abreast of state subsidy software systems like CCTA and Kinder Connect, ensuring proficient use.
+ Maintain meticulous records for each child, meeting all documentation requirements for financial assistance.
+ Demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional service and positively impacting lives.
+ Manage a high volume of emails and phone calls promptly and efficiently
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative, caseworker, or similar position
+ Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
+ Ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy
+ Strong data entry skills
+ High School diploma or the equivalent
+ Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
+ Must demonstrate the willingness to work in a team environment and be a team player
+ Possesses the ability to adjust to changing workflows and processes
+ Ability to work with limited supervision & still be productive, timely, and accurate
