Company Name: Osseo Job Description Job Opportunity: PK-12 Operations Accountant Description: We are looking for someone who can provide accounting support and direction to our Division of Leadership, Teaching and Learning. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our scholars are inspired, prepared, and equipped to achieve their dreams, contribute to the community, and engage in a lifetime of learning. As a PK-12 Operations Accountant, you will be responsible for organizing and coordinating the financial management of our division, including researching and analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and performing key technical accounting tasks. Job Responsibilities: Implement the annual budget process and manage fiscal activities. Assist in developing and monitoring the annual budget. Document financial transactions and prepare balance sheets and reports. Audit documents to substantiate financial transactions. Recommend and prepare accounting policies and procedures to maintain accounting controls. Prepare financial analysis through research and data analysis. Provide accurate financial information to department heads. Support compliance with financial accounting reporting standards. Assist in coordinating accounting processes for special funded projects. Reconcile electronic data reporting systems and manage grants received by the division. Assist with technical accounting tasks for DLTL leaders. Maintain professional knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications : College graduate with a major in accounting, business administration, or related field. Three years of proven success in accounting, with a focus on budgeting and financial analysis. Extensive skills in accounting and related fields. Ability to maintain the general accounting function. Working knowledge of computerized accounting systems. Working knowledge of governmental accounting preferred. Knowledge of education financial rules and regulations preferred. Salary and Benefits:
Salary will be based on the salary grids mentioned in the Management Personnel I-M agreement, which can be found on our website. The contract length is 225 days. We offer a variety of benefits to our employees. Equal Employment Opportunity:
