Responsibilities
• Assist with planning and coordination of community and cultural events• Support collaborations, communications, and outreach with campus partners and student organizations• Facilitate Fabulous Friday events and ensure LGBT RC community guidelines are followed• Moderate LGBT RC Discord server• Chair the Pride Week committee• Assist with creating affinity spaces and groups for marginalized student populations• Perform general office duties and represent the LGBT RC at events• Distribute promotional materials for LGBT RC events and programs• Attend staff meetings and supervision meetings• Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
• Must be a current undergraduate student at the University of Utah• Availability to work 19 hours a week• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Enthusiasm for working with people from different backgrounds• Strong organizational skills• Interest in LGBTQIA+ identities and experiences preferred• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite• Past experience in community-building and event planning desired
