Our Structural Engineering Department is seeking a self-motivated Structural Engineer to join our team!
Responsibilities
Utilize structural and CAD software during preliminary and final design
Complete independent structural calculations and studies
Prepare preliminary and final plans, specifications, and estimates
Provide construction administration services
Perform bridge inspections
Perform structural analysis and prepare load rating calculations and reports for highway and rail bridges
Prepare design documents of bridge structures, retaining walls, culverts, utilities, concrete slabs and walls, traffic equipment, and any other structural related items
Assist with project management tasks, as needed
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a Structural focus
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Massachusetts or ability to obtain MA PE within one year if licensed in another state
5-10 years of relevant design experience
Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with STAAD, MDX, AASHTOWare Bridge Rating, and Bentley's LEAP Bridge Enterprise preferred
Familiarity with AASHTO, building design codes, and MassDOT bridge design policies and guidelines
