The Strategic Systems Engineering division is seeking a highly-motivated undergraduate or graduate student for an internship. This intern will support guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems architecture tasks by assisting with development of high-fidelity flight vehicle simulations and/or mission performance analyses. 
Specific tasks include:
Enhance usability of existing models Develop system and subsystem models Create informative visualizations of model outputs Integrate new models or features into simulation tools Understand stakeholder needs and use cases Regularly present progress and technical products to the team for peer review Required qualifications
US Citizen Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in engineering, math, or physics Basic programming skills in MATLAB or Python Has excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to learn quickly both working closely with engineers and independently Comfortable using new software and tools Any of the following additional qualifications would be highly desirable:
Coursework in system dynamics, flight dynamics, orbital mechanics, control systems, or state estimation Additional programming experience (e.g. Simulink, R, C, C++, etc.) Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) Familiarity with strategic/tactical missile or rocket systems
