**Job Title: Strategic Account Executive**
**Location:** Washington, D.C.
We are a rapidly expanding software company at the forefront of providing workflow software and information services for professionals in government affairs. Our innovative platform empowers users across corporations, non-profits, associations, and governmental sectors to effectively manage stakeholder engagement, launch grassroots advocacy campaigns, and track legislative activity at all levels of government.
As a Strategic Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in our growth trajectory. Your responsibilities will encompass outside business-to-business (B2B) sales, managing the complete sales cycle, acquiring new market share, and nurturing existing accounts. We are seeking experienced professionals who have a proven track record of achieving substantial sales targets in SaaS or tech-enabled services, exceeding $1M/year consistently.
**Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with leadership, marketing, and sales operations teams to devise and implement enterprise strategies, fostering a robust pipeline of opportunities and exploring potential partnership channels.
- Drive new business growth while efficiently leveraging internal resources, overseeing full sales cycle opportunities from initial outreach to contract closure and subsequent up-sell/cross-sell.
- Develop a deep understanding of our platform, the public affairs market, and the objectives of prospects to identify pain points and deliver impactful platform demonstrations tailored to address specific challenges, thereby facilitating a successful sales process.
- Foster collaborative relationships with marketing, product, and customer success teams to identify avenues for product development that align with the needs of enterprise clients.
- Consistently exceed annual quota and quarterly revenue targets while maintaining accurate pipeline and forecasts.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in enterprise-level SaaS sales, with a demonstrated ability to engage multiple stakeholders and navigate complex decision processes.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding an annual quota of $1M+ in expansion and new logo sales.
- Expertise in managing complex sales cycles and closing opportunities valued at $200,000+ ARR.
- Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at various levels both internally and externally, with experience in building and nurturing relationships.
- Strong ability to generate leads independently and cultivate long-term sales relationships.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and present to C-suite executives.
- Proficient in a consultative sales approach, adept at understanding complex business needs and tailoring solutions accordingly.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and driven to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
