We are currently taking applications/resumes for an EXPERIENCED Millwright Technicians for the Morgan City, LA and surrounding area. Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following: Job Scope: In charge of installing and maintaining equipment used in multiple industries. Work includes installing, transferring, and repairing equipment and machinery. Position Requirements : Completion of an accredited millwright certificate program. A minimum of 3 years experience as a millwright or similar job. High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Must be able to pass drug screen MUST be able to provide personal PPE (Hard hat, steel toes, gloves, & safety glasses) MUST have reliable transportation Required skills: In-depth knowledge of construction equipment and machinery. Strong attention to detail with excellent mathematical skills. Ability to review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures. Must be able to work well in a team environment. Good communication skills. Duties/Responsibilities: Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repair or transportation. Build the foundation for machines. Construct and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors and tram rails. Transfer equipment to the applicable site for maintenance to avoid contamination or safety hazards. Grind and file machinery parts. Supervise construction workers when using the equipment. Work with a range of hand tools including measuring tools, welding and brazing equipment. Determine which machines, techniques, and tools to use when moving equipment and completing jobs. Mange housekeeping activities when requested. Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized. Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed. Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner. Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards. Practice safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working. Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment Meet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standards Report safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediately Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs Must have good endurance Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks. Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions Ability to work in varying hot and cold environments Ability to work in an environment with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gases While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock Documents Required: Driver's License/Identification Social Security Card/Birth Certificate Pay: Starting Pay: DOE Weekly Pay Pay Schedule: Monday - Sunday Schedule: Monday - Friday (Weekends as Needed)8 - 12 Hour days Duration of Job: Temp to Hire (Based on Job Experience) Tasks beyond those listed above will be asked of you, so a positive, can-do attitude is required.
