Staff Nurse - Emergency Department (New Grads Welcome To Apply)

_*SUMMARY:*_We are currently seeking a*Staff Nurse*to join ourEmergency Department.

This position is a*0.6 FTE (6 shifts/ pay period), 8-hour shifts, Nights and Every other Weekend.*

A sign-on bonus ($8,000.00) is available for eligible external candidates (current employees and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible).

**_*RESPONSIBILITIES:*_Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Patient and Family Centered Care model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:

* Protecting, promoting, and optimizing health* Preventing illness and injury* Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response* Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others* Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care

*_QUALIFICATIONS:_*Minimum Qualifications:

* Graduation from an accredited school of nursing* Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota* BLS certifications

Preferred Qualifications:* *Prior experience or capstone in Emergency Department setting, preferably a Level 1** Certification in area of clinical specialty* BSN Preferred.

Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged.

Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
