Davis & Floyd is currently seeking a highly motivated Staff Engineer to join our Civil Site Team in Greenville, South Carolina. We are a multi-disciplined firm that has been providing quality engineering services to our clients since 1954. This candidate will become part of a team that provides project consulting, site planning, design, permitting, and engineering services to a wide variety of clients. Responsibilities: Perform all aspects of site design such as processing surveys, grading, drainage, stormwater management, water distribution and sewer collection, erosion control, SWPPP and reports, construction cost estimating Prepare site plans, designs and drawings Coordinate daily activities/scheduling of various assigned projects Interface with review agencies by phone, in writing and in person to communicate and establish project designs Conduct field studies and surveys to collect technical data Assist in the analysis of reports, maps, drawings, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical data to plan and design projects Prepare design computations and quality estimates Develop budgets, schedules and technical project specifications Assist senior level engineers with project design, project specifications, and inspections Provide necessary coordination and follow-up on the work to ensure quality standards are met Assist in preparation of presentation material for client meetings and public review sessions Execute additional duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering strongly preferred 2-4 years applicable work experience with education emphasis in site development, grading, drainage, and stormwater management Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (EIT certification) Ability to clearly communicate with staff Experience in Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required A positive attitude and willingness to learn Benefits: Competitive Wages High Deductible Health Plan - HSA with Company Contributions PPO Health with Low Deductible Zero Dollar Copay for Teladoc Flexible Schedule with Core Hours of 9am-4pm Mon-Th (Remaining Hours can be Flexible/Remote) Competitive Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay Profit Sharing Plan (company contributes regardless of employee's contribution) Professional Memberships Continuing Education and Licensure Reimbursement Straight Time Overtime or Key Performance Incentive Program
