Applied Card Systems an affiliate of Roch Capital is seeking to fill a Staff Accountant/Portfolio role. This position reports in-office 5 days a week 8am - 5pm at the Glen Mills, PA headquarters. Essential Functions: Perform monthly accounting close for various entities with mid-level complexity in Great Plains. Record journal entries in Great Plains related to all ACS entity activity including income and expense accruals as necessary. Perform daily cash and monthly reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts. Send book and wire transfer requests to Applied Bank for processing. Perform allowance for loan loss calculation and maintain files and documentation that are a part of the allowance calculation process. Assist in the quarterly production of Risk Committee and Board of Directors meeting reports and materials. Participate in and take ownership of specific areas of the annual budget and financial planning process as assigned. Compile data and information in support of annual financial statement audit by external auditors. Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned entities that may require formatting in Excel. Support month-end close through timely and accurate account reconciliations as well as other assigned duties. Maintain schedule of loans between affiliated entities and prepare cash transfer requests as interest payments become due. Perform timely follow-up on outstanding matters identified through the reconciliation and review processes. Identify and escalate issues timely. Draft and maintain thorough and detailed procedures for daily work processes. Exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of accounting responsibilities. Knowledge Skills: Excellent organizational, motivational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge in Microsoft Office, or a comparable software program, is also required. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet program. Experience with Great Plains a plus. Education Work Experience: Bachelors degree (B.S.) in Accounting from an accredited four year college or university 2 4 years relevant work experience desired (including internships) We are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
