Job Title: Staff Accountant Location: Dallas, Texas (Full-Time, In-Office) Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Required) Experience: 1+ years of experience in accounting or a finance-related field, with month-end close experience. Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team at our Dallas, Texas office. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining the financial accuracy and integrity of our organization's records. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, prior experience in month-end close processes, and a commitment to ensuring the financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Month-End Close: Lead and participate in the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
2. Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries, reconciling and analyzing general ledger accounts as needed.
3. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
4. Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
5. Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring invoices are processed and collections are made promptly.
6. Expense Management: Review and analyze expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
7. Audit Support: Assist with both internal and external audit activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
8. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
9. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
10. Ad-Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and financial analysis as directed by the Finance Manager or Controller.
Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field (Required).
2. 1+ years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles.
3. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
4. Previous experience with month-end close processes.
5. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

8. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus, though not required.
