JOB STATEMENT:
Assist the financial operations of the business by recording and monitoring transactions and processes related to the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Review general ledger accounts, prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts. Participate in monthly closing of Janus business unit(s) as needed for task management and reconciliation completion as assigned. Prepare various account analyses and respond to information requests as needed or assigned. Assist with budget and forecasting process, as assigned, or required. Participate in annual audit process (external and Bank), as assigned. Participate in quarterly and annual SEC filings, as assigned. Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures along with recommending needed changes or improvements to the current process. Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Provide accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information; converting data to a general ledger system; obtaining supplementary information for preparing financial statements. Other duties as assigned. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in accounting required. Must be highly skilled in the use of Excel Spreadsheets. A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting is required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.
