Staff Accountant

OVERVIEW:The Staff Accountant's responsibilities will include recording transactions and following month-end close procedures focusing mainly on bank reconciliations. The job also requires good knowledge of accounting principles as well as excellent analytical skillsRESPONSIBILTIES:Accounting support to the General Ledger accounting functionPropose and record monthly journal entriesPrepare bank reconciliations including cash and payrollIdentify and research bank transactions within the ERP systemIdentify and research sales and disbursement transactions with third party processorsSupport external audits to ensure complianceDocument business processes and proceduresQUALIFICATIONS:BS degree in Accounting or related business field3+ years' GL accounting experienceGeneral understanding of US GAAPExperience with general ledger functionsAbility to execute deadline driven month-end processesThe base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company's total rewards package for exempt employees.
