We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant with a strong background in financial management within a manufacturing setting. This position is key to financial operations focusing on extensive work with financial statements and active management of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR). The ideal candidate will be poised for growth potentially advancing to a Controller role within the company.
Qualifications: 35 years of professional accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong expertise in financial statement preparation AP and AR. Strong in Microsoft Excel with VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables. Excellent analytical organizational and problemsolving skills. Effective communication skills capable of working with diverse teams and management. CPA preferred but not required. Essential Duties: Prepare examine and analyze financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations. Manage all aspects of the general ledger including monthly and annual close processes. Handle daily transactions for accounts payable and receivable ensuring timely processing and reconciliation. Collaborate with various departments to monitor and analyze manufacturing costs and production efficiencies. Assist in strategic planning and play a key role in budgeting and financial forecasting processes. Implement and refine financial controls and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Prepare tax documents and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations. Engage in inventory valuation and management crucial for optimizing purchasing and production planning. Additional Attributes: Keen attention to detail with high standards of accuracy in data entry and financial analysis. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines. Proactive in identifying opportunities for cost reduction and financial optimization. Interest in career progression and professional development in financial management. An understanding of cost accounting inventory management and production efficiency analysis is beneficial and will be essential in future roles within the company. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
