Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant - Chicago, IL
We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Staff Accountant to join our fast-paced finance team. This role is ideally suited for individuals who thrive in challenging environments and exhibit a meticulous attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct analysis of financial data and prepare comprehensive reports, including insightful recommendations. Review, verify, and approve transactions and journal entries. Actively participate in the month-end close process. Assist in the preparation of month-end financial reports and annual budgets and forecasts for the Director of Finance. Ensure compliance with established procedures and internal controls as per Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. Collaborate with the Customer Service Team and Site Operations to identify and analyze trends, opportunities, and risks. Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of the general ledger. Assist in the development of corporate assumptions for budgeting and forecasting purposes. Conduct ad hoc analyses to support decision-making by the Senior Management Team. Summarize and present analysis findings to senior leadership. Participate in special projects as required. Assist in the preparation of corporate cash flow models. Process expense reports using the Concur Solutions system as needed. Provide support to external auditors during annual and bank audits. Fulfill any additional duties as assigned. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in an accounting role.
