Job Summary: The Staff Accountant is responsible for completing the monthly closing processes for divisional and corporate entities. Review and prepare journal entries, analyze and publish financial statements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements. Process journal entries and account reconciliations Assist with ongoing audits. Financial analysis Fixed Asset Maintenance Provides ERP Software Support for locations nationwide. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Willingness to accept and take on new duties, responsibilities and miscellaneous projects. Education and Experience: Minimum associate degree in accounting or finance, bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred. 1 or more years of accounting experience required, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Ax a plus Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The successful candidate should have excellent computer (Excel and Word) skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities and good organizational skills. Familiar with GAAP Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level Ability for occasional overnight travel is possible with this position. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
