As a Sr. Engineer, Vehicle Integration, you will solve a variety of issues within Vehicle Engineering, where multiple competing interests exist. Bringing knowledge that spans the full breath of mechanical disciplines, you will drive optimal resolution of engineering issues from overall concept development through manufacturing. The Role:Lead the integration of attribute requirements by understanding customer needs and performing competitive vehicle benchmarkingLead cross functional issue reporting and resolution to drive attribute performance from requirements all the way through to test and SOPIdentify vehicle and system level issues early and pull in the right experts to resolve themPlan and execute drive events to demonstrate attribute progress in prototype and production vehiclesProvide leadership to the engineering team(s) in solving highly complex problems, following the solutions all the way through to implementation to ensure that issues are truly closedPerform high-level concept development to meet system and vehicle requirements while understanding how to optimize these systems for function, efficiency, cost, weight, ergonomics, manufacturability and serviceabilityDemonstrate ability to handle multiple competing work assignments from engineering, studio, and program. Qualifications:BS or MS Degree in Mechanical EngineeringConversant with current and forthcoming vehicle architectures and system technologies5+ years of experience at an automotive OEM or supplierPassion for electric vehicles and energy efficiencyMotivation, flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment with tight timing constraintsProven problem solving and communication skills, excellent numeracy and spatial awarenessAssertive, self-motivated, demonstrates ownership of issues, and can work with minimal directionAdvantageous:Experience translating customer needs and pain points into attribute requirements
