Our Accounting and Finance team is going through a systems migration. As we prepare for the move to a new Oracle Cloud platform, we are performing a series of data validations to prepare data for the new system. We need someone with Excel skills and some prior experience (work or schooling) in accounting that is comfortable working with large sets of data to perform validation testing. Between validation cycles, we would like the candidate to assist our team with other basic accounting functions as assigned. Will report directly to the Accounting Manager. Is responsible for ensuring the validation of data to confirm the data is accurate and conforms to migration requirements. What you'll do as a Sr. Staff Accountant:
Review and audit accounting systems data
Follow best practices related to data validation process
Ensure accuracy or data compliance with recognized format and systems requirements and any internal accounting policies and procedures.
Ensure that proper controls are in place to reduce or eliminate errors
Identify and remove obstacles in end-to-end process.
Special projects as manager dictates will include general accounting department functions
File and maintain physical and digital files.
Assist with other department duties as assigned ( Assists in the calculation, preparation, and reviews of schedules accounting cycles | Compile data and prepare or reviews workpapers and other special projects | Assists with general ledger account reconciliations. | assists management with other reporting and compliance projects. Etc.) What you'll bring to the Sr. Staff Accountant role:
Bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a staff accountant
Ability to create and maintain Microsoft Excel reports and experience with Microsoft Office products.
Ability to use Excel to organize and analyze data sets using pivot tables, functions, and other tools/
Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
Quick learner and able to work independently.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines
