Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate as a part of the 3Ci team to support Our Client with their Data Hub and Data Lake assets, focusing on design, development, and maintenance of the company's web applications.
Understand existing infrastructure and continue development in a seamless manner.
Play a pivotal role in the backend development, creating APIs that interact with databases, with a focus on PostgreSQL.
Work with the Data Lake and Data Hub teams to identify process improvements and suggest future enhancements.
Utilize your expertise in Node.js, PostgreSQL, Python, and AWS services to create efficient and effective solutions.
Collaborate with business and development teams to gather, refine, and understand design requirements, even when they are not well-defined.
Contribute to continuous learning, staying updated on new technologies and processes, and making recommendations for product and process improvements.
Mitigate project risks and proactively address potential blockers by escalating issues to designated parties.
Research, define, and document detailed specifications for proposed solutions, and provide proof of concept through rapid prototyping.
Ensure that proposed and existing system architectures align with organizational goals and objectives.
Participate in evaluating and enhancing the alert and monitoring systems to improve system visibility and responsiveness.
Work within a diverse tech stack including Node.js, PostgreSQL, Python, and AWS services.
Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
3-5+ years of hands-on experience in Node.js and PostgreSQL development.
Proficiency in Python and experience with various AWS services.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and exceptional observation and listening skills.
Experience working with Agile methodologies and the ability to write technical documents.
Solid understanding of RESTful API development and OpenAPI specifications.
Experience with writing SQL scripts, stored procedures, and performing database interactions.
Familiarity with unit testing and regression testing practices.
Ability to adapt to changing requirements and work effectively with loosely defined project needs.
Familiarity with microservice processes, cloud computing technologies, and version control tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable working in a remote or hybrid work environment.
