Pentaflex has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Process Engineer with working knowledge of stamping presses (coil fed, manual, and servo), machine welding and CNC machining.
Knowledge/Education:
BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related engineering field.
Prior manufacturing engineering experience as a plant level floor engineer working with factory floor employees.
Prior experience with quoting equipment and writing capital justifications.
Prior experience with automation (programming knowledge a major plus).
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar disciplined problem-solving methods.
Must Have:
Experience with Capital projects and writing justifications from concept thru customer acceptance of the product.
Experience with developing methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations and equipment, new processes, new raw material, outside processes and purchase of equipment.
Experience solving problems using analytic methods or experimentation and modeling to determine root cause and then develop improvements that make processes safer, better yield (quality), and better output (productivity).
Working knowledge of presses (coil fed, manual, and servo), Machine welding, and CNC machining.
Working knowledge of progressive dies and transfer systems.
Must be able to commute daily to Springfield, Ohio.
Abilities:
AutoCAD skills at the competent level or better.
CNC programming skills at the adequate level or better.
Knowledge of AIAG APQP process, steps, and requirements for PPAP.
Plex knowledge (best) or other MRP knowledge (2nd best).
Competence with Six Sigma concepts (Formal training a plus)
Competence with Lean concepts (certification ideal but competence is adequate).
Basic metallurgy knowledge (particularly steel knowledge).
