Responsibilities The Site Operations Manager manages interactions with the Lottery, internal IGT staff and vendors to ensure the Lottery's requirements are met, the systems are continually up, and the department is meeting the highest level of operational efficiency.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
• Directs and manages the activities of the Site Operations team by delegating tasks and supervising workflow.
• Ensures the operation for systems and services proceed in a continuous and trouble-free manner collaborating with stakeholders to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve requests or problems as needed.
• Ensures Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends to identify potential problem areas and implement corrective actions before problems occur.
• Demonstrates and role models a steadfast commitment to meeting and exceeding customers' expectations while also achieving the goal of reducing risks and costs of providing services.
• Works to build an effective partnership with the customer daily by listening to requests, asking the appropriate questions, and guiding the IGT organization on priorities to in order to meet, or exceed the customers' expectations.
• Provides guidance in planning and implementing modifications (RFCs) to systems and servers, including security, access, and documentation.
• Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing operational best practices and procedures as they relate to the servers, systems and applications that are delivered.
• Performs audit procedures for SOC I and SOC II audits, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing, and analyzing evidence, and documenting processes and procedures.
On call Responsibilities:
• 24x7x365 on call requirement to work through production incidents and requests during business hours, weekends, or nights.
Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience of 10 years of work experience within a datacenter operations environment operating and/or managing production systems for a customer(s).
• Previous management experience within datacenters is required.
• Working knowledge of IP Protocol, LAN/WAN topology (frame, DSL, Cellular), intermediate knowledge of associated monitoring and troubleshooting tools, Data Center network equipment (firewalls, switches, routers, etc.).
• Working knowledge of IBM middleware applications (JBOSS, WebSphere, etc.).
• Advanced ability to navigate through Unix/Linux and execute commands.
• Basic knowledge of Windows and LINUX configurations and functions. Basic knowledge of DB2, MySQL and SQL databases.
