The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, adeptly combining technical expertise with collaborative prowess as well as ability to work independently. Familiarity with electrical components, circuit theory and knowledge of electrical test equipment are a plus. With a keen problem-solving acumen, they will tackle challenges with precision and creativity. Additionally, proficiency in research and critical thinking, coupled with stellar interpersonal and team working abilities are essential for success in this role. Job DescriptionPerform thermal analysis of electronic packaging of power converters and power conversion systems. Primary focus on thermal aspects of product package design, but will also support manufacturing in resolution of problem solving and cost reduction measures. Will direct and oversee thermal testing to correlate/validate thermal analysis results.Education / QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 4-7 years experience. Master's degree preferred.Able to utilize graphical and visual aids effectively, including PowerPoint, EXCEL and MSWord, to communicate results from analysis, simulation, and test.Has good analysis skills and relevant experience in utilizing ANSYS Workbench finite element analysis tools using SpaceClaim to model and simulate heat transfer problems involving conduction, radiation, and convection. Familiarity with static structural analysis is preferred.Strong analytical skills in solving heat transfer problems.Can formulate experimental approaches to problem solving when appropriate. Able to identify and interpret relevant data.Has demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, as well as be an effective contributor to team-based problem solving and new product development activities.
