This role is part of the Lunar

Permanence

business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

will lead a multidisciplinary team

other electro optical sensor

systems

from early concepts to product prototypes to

initial

flight units

.

This role is deeply interdisciplinary and requires coordination among a diverse group of internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Responsibilities

Develop

Qualifications:

+ years of experience in optics, photonics, laser technology,

Demonstrated

experience in the development, prototyping, testing of complex

sensors or instruments

for aerospace, automotive

robotics

Proficiency

of fundamentals

of electro-optical system development -

lidar system design

analysis

and experience in electro optical system modeling and simulation

Deep

electro-optical sensor

component

(lasers, photodiodes,

fiber optics, precision mechanisms

Experience in

signal processing techniques and algorithms for electro optical sensor

measurements

Experience in

Excellent verbal communication skills to influence a variety of direct and indirect stakeholders.

Strong technical background or technical writing experience.

through successful product

Compensation range for on site CO applicants is $153,636-$215,090
