Job summary
AECOM is seeking an experienced Inspector to perform construction engineering and inspections on a variety of construction projects in Connecticut.Responsible for construction layout, engineering computations, inspection duties, and field tests.Offers a rate of compensation ranging from $33.77 to $62.45 per hour.

Responsibilities
• Perform construction layout and make/check engineering computations.• Inspect construction work and conduct field tests.• Set project deadlines and provide on-the-job training to new employees.• Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and code requirements through inspections.• Maintain inspection records, participate in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.• Track quality assurance progress and provide input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
Requirements
• High School Diploma and 6 years of relevant experience performing inspections on related bridge and/or roadway construction projects.• Valid U.S. Driver's license.• Experience working with Connecticut Dept. of Transportation (CTDOT) preferred.• Experience supervising/managing less experienced inspectors preferred.• Willingness to work flexible schedules as needed, including overnight work.• BS Civil Engineering or related curriculum preferred.• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification, Engineer In Training (EIT), or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.• NICET certification (or ability to obtain required level) preferred.
