We are seeking a Sr. HR Coordinator who will support vertical leaders in SOM Central Finance by providing HR and project assistance. They represent SOM Central Finance Human Resources professionally to faculty,

administrators, staff, and external contacts, addressing inquiries, resolving administrative issues, and ensuring compliance with university policies.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities Human Resource 80% Recruitment Manage position requests via SOM Central Finance committees and NEXUS system. Handle requisitions in JHU Success Factors for supported org units. Coordinate candidate interviews, screenings, and reference checks. Facilitate placement of temporary staff and oversee approval processes. Payroll/Compensation Process Internal Service Requests and payroll actions and oversee JHU payroll functions. Track hourly employee time and maintain E210 time tracking system. Manage payroll adjustments and monitor overpayments. Handle promotions, transfers, terminations, and payroll issues. FML/STD Assist staff with FML-related queries and process disability claims. Track and update FML determinations and changes. Compile and provide documentation to staff and HR Compliance Services department. Process Coordination/Record Keeping Maintain personnel records and handle performance reviews. Manage HR files and ensure confidentiality of documents. HR Support Provide coordinator support and resolve staff inquiries. Offer backup for HR teams and manage employee access. Coordinate badge and property collection upon termination. Administrative (20%) Provide administrative and project management support. Assist with scheduling and prioritizing meeting requests. Coordinate HR meetings and training for administrative staff. Manage travel accommodations and assist with presentations. Support maintenance of SharePoint and Teams sites. Handle non-routine projects and manage confidential HR material. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field. Three years related experience. Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula. Preferred Qualifications Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Proficiency in MS Office suite, email, and organizational tools. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and prioritization skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and operate office equipment. Classified Title: Sr. HR Coordinator

Starting Salary Range: Min $45,700 - Max $80,000 Annually ($60,390 targeted; Commensurate with experience)

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
