Role and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our forward-thinking team. This role is tailored for a professional who is well-versed in advanced data architectures, specifically with experience in Generative AI, Unity Catalog, Mosaic AI, and Databricks Model Serving. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our data architecture to support advanced analytics and AI-driven applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust, scalable data architectures that integrate with Databricks environments and other cloud platforms.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines, ensuring efficient data flow that supports machine learning models and real-time analytics.
- Utilize Databricks Unity Catalog for efficient data governance, ensuring secure access to data assets across multiple teams and compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Implement and manage Databricks Model Serving to deploy and maintain machine learning models efficiently, ensuring high availability and low latency of AI applications.
- Work with Mosaic AI to enhance data visualization and decision-making processes through advanced AI-driven insights.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data requirements and implement solutions that leverage Generative AI capabilities for enhanced data synthesis and analysis.
- Lead the integration of complex datasets with the ability to support and refine data collection and integration practices.
- Ensure architectural solutions are built for performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
- Document architectural solutions and strategies for both technical teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role with a focus on AI technologies.
- Strong experience with Databricks platform, including Unity Catalog, and familiarity with Databricks Model Serving.
- Experience with Generative AI technologies and frameworks.
- Proficient in SQL, PySpark, Python
- Knowledge of Mosaic AI and its applications in data environments.
- Excellent understanding of data governance, data quality management, and data security practices.
- Experience with azure cloud services and their data-related services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications in Databricks or other relevant technologies.
- Experience in leading data architecture in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects. Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $[140,000-$180,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
